Huntingdonshire

Events

Huntingdonshire is host to a range of markets and events, including regular farmers' markets and a series of specialist markets. Farmers' markets are special because local farmers, growers or producers are present in person to sell their own produce, direct to the public. All products sold have been grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed by the stallholder. Fresh, high quality, seasonal produce that can be found at the farmers' markets include home baked bread, cakes, cheeses, fruit and vegetables, jams and preserves, patés, sausages and fresh cut flowers.

Shoppers can be confident of the origins of the foods, ask the stallholders questions and get closer to the sources of local foods. Farmers' markets are the British farming industry's most high profile shop window. Huntingdonshire also holds specialist markets throughout the year, such as continental markets and Christmas markets. Visiting a market and combining the visit with another attraction makes the perfect day out.
